direction and art direction - "BFFS!" @ Peekaboo Anim!

Well! "Best Friends Forever... Stranded!" it's a special one for me as I am the author of this show and which is in development with Peekaboo Animation. I came up with the idea some years ago and now it's growing little by little. I had the pleasure to direct and art direct the concept trailer presented in Cartoon Forum in 2022 and also to lead new design direction for the new pitch bible. Getting closer and closer of having this fun idea to your small screen. It'll be a 40x11' show for kids! These are the first steps, trying to figure out the look of the characters :). We already had an idea of how they were, but it's always good to explore them a bit more and then I show a bit below some development and design for Frank, the chicken.

I had clear how to space should look because it was important to give the feeling of a transition. From the beach to the interior of the jungle

same with the story. These are thumbnails of how I envisioned how the story was going to be. FUN! After this, the storyboard and the animatic came clear.
